San Diego County Will Enter Purple Tier Saturday As COVID-19 Cases Increase

Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases San Diego county will soon be moving to the state’s most restrictive “purple” reopening tier. 483 cases and 7 deaths are being announced.. KPBS reporter Matt Hoffman spoke to a longtime business owner about what these new restrictions will mean.

Read more A collaboration between Special Delivery San Diego and Trader Joe's. Food donations from Trader Joe's and other local grocery stores provide Ruth Henricks and her team of volunteers to repurpose that food for people who really need it. Special Delivery provides daily meals for people who are homebound and need food delivered while also providing a grocery pantry for locals in need to come shop for their own groceries. Ruth also instructs a class once a week focused on the needs of diabetics and how better foods can improve their conditions.
